The Mayflower is a famous ship commonly known as Pilgrims in 1620. The vessel originated from England and left on September 16, after a gruelling journey and accidental landing at Cape Cod Bay.

The Mayflower was used primarily as a cargo ship for wine between England and other European countries such as France, Norway, Germany and Spain. The ship was mastered by Christopher Jones between 1609 and 1622. He commanded the ship on the famous transatlantic voyage and based on Rotherhithe, London, England. The Mayflower returned to England after its famous voyage. After the death of captain Christopher Jones, the Mayflower was dismantled for scrap lumber in Rotherhithe, London.

The Mayflower's dimensions and other details are unknown but has an estimated length of 90-110 feet and a width of about 25 feet. The ship has a crew capacity of 25-30.

The Mayflower voyage and the ship became a famous icon. It became the Emblem of the English football club Plymouth Argyle F.C., known as the Pilgrims. The Mayflower was also mentioned in Paul Simon's song, The American Tune and was also mentioned in other albums by Jon Anderson & Vandelis and Bob Dylan.
